Boolean Search
To conduct a Boolean search, one of the following "search operators" must appear between each word or phrase: AND, OR, NEAR, NOT. A phrase must be in quotes.
Here are some examples of valid Boolean queries:
- construction and wood
- gaming and casino and not yavapai
- licence or permit or certificate
- prescription near drug
- "air conditioner" or "heat pump")
- furnace near "natural gas"
- wood construction (it would be valid in either of these forms: "wood construction" or wood and construction)
To correlate agency action with a text search, use the following in the boolean option:
1. Agency accepts: aaccep or aaccepedit and (whatever your terms are).
aaccep or aaccepedit and civil and court
- aaccep or aaccepedit and "civil court"
aarej or aarejedit and moral and turpitude
- aarej or aarejedit and moral and "moral turpitude"
3. Agency accepts, but modifies a fact or conclusion of law: aamendf or amendfedit and (whatever your terms are).
aamendf or amendfedit and "extruded concrete"
4. Agency accepts, but amends the order: aamend or aamendedit and (whatever your terms are).
.
aamend or aamendedit and "fee for service"
(you cannot use " fee and for and service", because "for" is an ignored word; dashes are considered spaces, so "fee-for-services" would have to be in quotes as a phrase as in the example above)
5. Agency accepts and may or may not have amended the order: aaccep or aaccepedit or aamend or aamendedit and (whatever your terms are).
- eg: aaccep or aaccepedit or aamend or aamendedit and alcohol
6. Agency accepts and may or may not have amended a finding of fact or conclusion of law: aaccep or aaccepedit or aamendf or amendfedit and (whatever your terms are).
aaccep or aaccepedit or aamendf or amendfedit and phantom and images
7. Agency accepts and may or may not have amended the order or changed a fact or conclusion of law: aaccep or aaccepedit or aamend or aamendedit or aamendf or amendfedit and (whatever your terms are).
aaccep or aaccepedit or aamend or aamendedit or aamendf or amendfedit and "Water Withdrawal and Use Report "
