Michael G. Wales joined the Office of Administrative Hearings on March 24, 2008. Originally from Cooperstown, New York, Judge Wales received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Albany in 1988 and earned his Juris Doctor at Arizona State University College of Law in 1991. Prior to becoming and Administrative Law Judge, Judge Wales served as a judge pro tem for the Scottsdale Municipal Court, as a Deputy County Attorney in Anaheim, California, and as a Deputy County Attorney in Maricopa County, Arizona. Judge Wales has also practice in the private sector in the areas of construction law, business law, and criminal law.
